<p>Nice, strong run.  I felt good the whole way and sprinted out at the end.  I am really starting to get back into the running.  I got up right away this morning and got the run in.  I am actually looking forward to continuing my morning runs and building my speed back up.  With any luck, I should be able to run my fastest half-marathon in November, though my goal is to run the entire half.</p>

<p>Yesterday (rest day) I did some research which indicated that I am eating far too little.  I am averaging about 1900 calories and about 700 calories of exercise (net of 1200).   I have bumped up my caloric intake by 500 calories, which should give me an average of 1700-1800 net calories.  Hopefully that will help me lose weight and keep my energy levels up.  At this moment I am letting my body reset to the new intake.  </p>
<p>I did get a very good run in, actually managing another record with a full 3 miles in my run.  My speed is nearly where it was in April, and with luck and dedication, I will be running sub-10 minute miles by September.  I am still dominating Mike on exercise and weight loss, so that trend continues. <img src='http://www.chub-off.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

I set the treadmill at .5 elevation and 5.0MPH and ran 27 minutes with little effort (Slow, I know, but 6 months ago, I could not run 5.0MPH for 10 minutes!).  I then sprinted out the last 3 minutes, ending at 7.5MPH.  I felt good and my heart rate held well.  Tomorrow I plan on the elliptical, then 4.5 miles on Saturday.  Still holding fast at 11 pounds of weight loss, still frustrated, and still hopeful that the weight will come off eventually.</p>

<p>Good run today, I see another record pace, this time nearly hitting 3 miles.  My legs felt good and I really felt a lot better running faster BEFORE lunch today.  I am a little disappointed in my weight loss, I have not lost a pound since last week.  It is frustrating, but last time I was hard in training, I hit a plateau after I had lost 10 pounds, so I am hoping after a few weeks, I will begin to drop weight quickly, as it happened last time. </p>

I ran the entire 30 minutes @ 52.MPH, but it was a struggle all the way.  The only good news is it is done and I can run BEFORE lunch tomorrow.</p>
